That's right. Over the past couple of days I have prepared masses of chillies and tomatoes, along with a huge amount of root ginger and garlic. After that very laborious process it then all boils up for over 3 hours until you have the thick and sweet chilli jam - and a kitchen that knows about it!!
But it is now in the jars, labelled and ready to go.
I have had a few people at the Farmers' Markets asking me where they can buy my preserves. The number of outlets is slowly increasing. The latest addition is in The Gather, in Tarbert - just out on the road to Campbeltown.
Here is my wee list;
Achnashelloch Farm Shop, Lochgilphead,
Ardfern Village Store,
Kilmartin Museum Cafe (currently closed for renovations)
Lucy's in Ardfern
Noemi's Bakery in Lochgilphead
Tayvallich Cafe and General Store
The Gather in Tarbert
The Horseshoe Inn in Kilmichael Glassary
The Rumblin' Tum in Ardrishaig (currently closed for renovations)
The Tea Garden in Mallaig
The monthly Farmers' Market in Lochgilphead Co-op Car Park
The Garden stall, with honesty box, at my home in Kilmichael Glassary!
