Here we are, still in lockdown, but things seem to be getting better. The virus seems to be retreating and some sort of new reality is surfacing. At least the sun is shining! Weatherwise I think this has, so far, been the sunniest year since I moved to Scotland almost 20 years ago. We are looking forward to an announcement of the anticipated easing of restrictions this afternoon, permitting us to go out and meet others again and travel just a little bit further.
I've not made much jam or chutney is the past month. However there is still a steady flow of customers to the garden stall and online. I consider myself very lucky, and so pleased that I have this jam business to keep me occupied. Although I don't need to make any more preserves at the moment that has not stopped me. We have repainted the garden stall, replacing the perspex and renewing the signs so it looks quite fresh. I have taken this opportunity to print out plenty of labels and get myself more organised.
Like everyone else I am not sure what to expect in the coming months. Once permitted will there be an influx of tourists in the area, or will they still want to stay at home in their bubbles? Who knows. We will wait and see. If I am going to be very busy later in the year it is only right to take this opportunity for rest and relaxation :)
