Both yesterday and today I have been making chilli Jam. Experience has taught me to wear gloves when handling those pesky chillies - that is a mistake you only ever make once:)
Chilli Jam was my second most popular product in 2017, so I am trying to keep up with demand and even a little ahead. It is not difficult to make but it is a very slow process - consequently you cannot make many jars per day. I only have a conventional domestic cooker so there is no room for any more jam pans boiling away.
Today, I have also been down to the Rumblin' Tum in Ardrishaig to restock them with my Preserves. It is so hard to know what to take as the sales are very random - one week it is all Chutney sales, and then another week it will be mostly marmalade. Still, it keeps me on my toes!
